Sokdong Observatory
This is a tourist attraction on the Hongseong coast where you can enjoy the beautiful glow of the setting sun and appreciate the refreshing scent of pine trees.
There is a small island called Moseom in front of the observatory, and in 2012, a photo zone in the shape of a ship was installed and it is reminiscent of a scene from the movie, Titanic.
There is a wooden stairway from the Sokdong Observatory to Moseom Island, where you can appreciate a beautiful ocean view. Of particular note, the tidal flats around the island are known for offering experience programs, where participants can catch clam, oyster, shell, and octopus. The observatory is situated alongside the Imhae Tourist Road between Eosa port and Gung-ri.
